Abby Mills
BA
Biography
Abby Mills earned her bachelor’s degree at Queen’s University in 1990, studying English language literature, but her real education in pastoral care started in her childhood years on the family farm, caring for a large flock of sheep. Abby has worked in community and family services since 2013 and discovered a passion for ministering to those who live in poverty and sharing with them the truth of the Gospel. In 2017, the community and family services department she led was awarded the non-profit of the year award by the local chamber of commerce.
Abby currently works as the director of community ministries for The Salvation Army, overseeing the provision of all its programs and services in a small town in eastern Ontario that has been her home for nearly three decades. A strong relationship builder, Abby naturally turns conversations with clients to spiritual topics and can frequently be heard inviting them to join her at church for worship and fellowship.
Abby’s interests include researching practical ways to impart new skills that can transform the lives of those she serves.
